YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 21, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Greco-Roman wrestler Shant Khachatryan has won bronze at the 37th CISM World Military Wrestling Championships in Yerevan.
Khachatryan defeated Switzerland’s Maurus Zogg in the 72kg category Greco-Roman wrestling match by 10:1, winning bronze.
Khachatryan’s win brings Armenia’s bronze count to 3, with Ashot Khachatryan (77kg) and Hrachya Poghosyan (63kg) having won on Day 1.
So far Armenia has 3 gold medals - Gaspar Terteryan (67kg), Suren Aghajanyan (60kg) and Andranik Avetisyan (65kg).
Tigran Minasyan (55kg) and Sargis Begoyan (61kg) won silver. In the women’s division, Elen Babajanyan won silver on Day 1.
